Terms of use
Last updated: 2 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the Solar Panels UK website at solarpanels-uk.co.uk (the "Site"). By using the Site or submitting a quote request, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Solar Panels UK is a UK-based introducer service that connects homeowners and businesses with MCS-certified solar panel installers. We do not install panels ourselves. Any quote, contract, payment, install, warranty or aftercare is between you and the installer.
2. The service we provide
Our service is to:
- Provide free information about UK solar PV via this Site
- Take basic property and contact details from you via the quote form
- Pass those details to a single MCS-certified installer covering your postcode (or, if you opt in, multiple installers)
We do not provide quotes ourselves, do not warrant installer pricing, and do not guarantee that an installer will accept your job (e.g. for very remote postcodes or unusual roof types).
3. What we don't provide
- We do not operate any "free solar," ECO4 grant, or government-funded schemes
- We are not the contracting party for your install — that's the installer
- The cost / savings calculator on our Site is illustrative; it is not a quote and is not financial advice
4. Your obligations
When using the Site you agree to:
- Provide accurate details (name, email, phone, postcode, property)
- Not use automated tools to scrape, spam, or otherwise abuse the Site
- Not impersonate another person when submitting a quote request
5. Limitation of liability
The Site is provided on an "as is" basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate but do not warrant that pricing, savings figures, SEG rates or other third-party information is current at every moment.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Subject to that, our total liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to £100.
We are not liable for any installer's workmanship, pricing, delays, or aftercare. Issues with an installer should be raised directly with them, then with the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) or MCS as appropriate.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, its design, copy and code are owned by Solar Panels UK or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or republish substantial parts of the Site without prior written permission. Personal, fair-use referencing (e.g. citing one of our blog posts in your own article) is fine.
7. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites (Octopus, EDF, MCS, ICO, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites.
8. Governing law
These terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes
We may amend these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change is your acceptance of the new terms.
